Boy Child Initiative : The Need for Action

Elovia Initiative is a non-profit organization designed to building the mindset and mental attitude of our “BOY CHILD” towards finance, education, relationships, sex, morals, behavior and character. 

1. Today, the message is that what a boy can do, a girl can do better. Instead of working on the inherent, God-given strengths in both, the current inventory sets them in competition against each other.

2. A man was supposed to be stoic, strong and forbearing. It is time we did something about it. Doing something about it starts with an honest discussion about life stages and identity of the boy child.

3. Empowering one gender must never be synonymous with stifling the other. We must realize that we need a functional man for a functional society.

4. Boys need counselling and guidance through their passage to manhood. Conversations of how we can support the boy child should start at the family level. If we allow the boy-child to continue struggling with poverty, unemployment and dependency, not only will our country suffer economically but we will also lose the contribution of a major part of the society.

5. The initiative also gives opportunities to young boys to learn new skills, have mentors that will help to sharpen their creative minds, while imbibing the culture of hard work, entrepreneurship, selflessness, dedication, commitment and love.
